TWO GREAT WISDOMS FROM TWO WISE “TEACHERS”

TWO GREAT WISDOMS FROM TWO WISE “TEACHERS”

People come into our lives everyday who teach us something extraordinary about how to live life and provide daily wisdom. An adult in my life who has provided great mentorship similar to what Atticus, Miss Maudie, and Boo do for Scout, Jem, and Dill would have to be my dad, Randy Murcko.

2. Randy Murcko
My dad is tall.
My dad has black and grey hair.
My dad sells car parts.
My dad is a father.
My dad is a husband.
My dad is a hard Worker.

My dad and mentor, Randy Murcko, is always teaching me new things. He teaches me things mentally and physically and prepares me for the life of a husband, father, and employee every day. Even when I am being punished, he tries to show me how I can do things better and cause less consequences on myself. He is always working hard for our family and is constantly making my family better.

“One day when you grow up, you will see how everything you do now comes into play.” – Randy Murcko

In this quote, my father is reassuring me that all of the things I have to deal with now will pay off later in life. He says I need to always do my chores whole-heartedly, because when I get a job that is how I will work. He says that I need to do my best in school, because when I have a family and a job I will need to knowledge. He also says I need to be careful while I am young, because family is very important now and later. My dad is consistently bettering me and I believe that I will be a better person because of him.

“You are loyal to this team. So give 110 percent on everything you do on that field” – Coach Ulrich

In this quote, Mr. Chris Ulrich shows how he feels about soccer. He thinks that if you are a part of a team, then you need to support that team whether you play bench or if you start every game. Coach Ulrich is always trying to get the team to put their hearts and minds into the game of soccer and to be passionate about how they play. In the classroom, he is constantly trying to make us better and smarter. He makes taking notes and having lectures fun.

FIVE GREAT WISDOMS from To Kill a Mockingbird –

FIVE GREAT WISDOMS from To Kill a Mockingbird –

5. Neighbors bring food with death and flowers with sickness and little things in between. Boo was our neighbor. He gave us two soap dolls, a broken watch and chain, a pair of good-luck pennies, and our lives. But neighbors give in return. We never put back into the tree what we took out of it: we had given him nothing, and it made me sad. Pg. 293 (Scout)

In this quote, Scout Finch is describing how friends, family, and neighbors work. She shows their friendship by telling about how they bring food and flowers after a bad occasion or deadly result. She understands, here near the end of the book, that a town is almost like a family. They need to work together to survive, and that if you want something from others, you may have to give something up first. Scout is maturing, and she realizes that there are good things and bad things in the world, but life goes on. At the beginning of the book, all Scout saw was the good things, near the middle she only saw bad, and now nearing the end, she sees both and accepts both. She realizes that when things happen you do not sit there and wonder why, but you act upon it and hope for the best.

4. I'm not a very good man, sir, but I am sheriff of Maycomb County. Lived in this town all my life an' I'm goin' on forty-three years old. Know everything that's happened here since before I was born. There's a black boy dead for no reason, and the man responsible for it's dead. Let the dead bury the dead this time, Mr. Finch. Let the dead bury the dead. Pg. 290 (Sherriff Tate)

In this quote, Maycomb County’s Sheriff decides to get involved with the incident with Jem, Scout, Boo, and Bob. On their way home, Jem and Scout Finch get attacked by a man named Bob Ewell. After breaking an arm, Jem becomes unconscious and right before Bob hurts little Scout, Boo Radley saves her. In the process, Boo stabs Bob with a kitchen knife. Boo helps Jem and Scout home and that night Atticus finds out about the attack. He thinks that Jem did it, but Sheriff convinces him it was Boo. When the truth comes out, Atticus wants to have a case, but the Sheriff says that the dead will bury the dead. This is because Bob Ewell just got a black man killed. As a result, the dead buried the dead and the children were saved. Boo Radley finally came out of his house.
